3.4. Independent Left and Right Controllers

Each controller is independent of each other. Each controller manages its own

set of eight drives. One controller does not have access to the other controller’s

disk drives.

The Right Controller manages drives 1 to 8 and also monitors the Cooling Fans

status.

The Left Controller manages drives 9 to 16 and also monitors the Power Supply

status.
